Cutting Edges & Side Cutters
Nothing stays sharp forever. Cutting edges and side cutters on ground engaging tools such as loaders,
backhoes, and excavators, wear out and become dull meaning less than optimal performance. Getco offers
a comprehensive line of cutting edges and side cutters for Caterpillar, Case New Holland, Daewoo, John Deere, Esco, Fiat, H&L, Hyundai, and Komatsu ground engaging tools.
All trenching buckets should be equipped with side-cutters. Side-cutters improve bucket penetration, increase bucket capacity, and protect bucket side plates. They can also increase the bucket's cutting width, and when carbide is added increase strength as well. Getco offers several side cutter designs:
- Strike-off: Protects the bucket side plates and improves penetration.
- One-piece: Recommended for use in most soil conditions.
- Combination: Recommended for light to moderate digging conditions.
- Tooth Type: Recommended to improve penetration in severe applications.
